  • How many hours can a home carer work?
    Visiting Care Services at Ella's Home Care At Ella's Home Care, we offer flexible visiting care that can be customized to suit your needs. Our visiting care services start from 2 hours per week and can extend to several hourly visits throughout the day, depending on your specific requirements. We also offer overnight care in addition to day visits for comprehensive support. Average Weekly Hours: Our visiting carers typically work around 20 hours per week with various clients in the local community. This can vary based on the carer's availability and the needs of the individual customer. Live-in Care Services at Ella's Home Care For those who require more continuous support, we offer live-in care services. Our live-in carers provide dedicated care around the clock, with a mandatory break time of 14 hours per week. The timing of these breaks is arranged in advance between the carer, the customer, and their manager to ensure it doesn't disrupt care. Break Coverage: During a live-in carer’s break, coverage is provided by a visiting carer or a family member, or it may not be required at all, depending on your needs.
  • Private visiting care cost?
    At Ella's Home Care, we offer private visiting care that is both flexible and tailored to your needs. Our visiting care services start at £18.00 per hour per carer, with flexible pricing for visits as short as 2 hours. Whether you need short-term assistance or regular daily visits, we ensure your care plan is customized to fit your schedule and requirements.
  • What training will my home carer receive?
    We have a thorough selection and assessment process whereby new recruits receive both theoretical and practical training to equip them in their role as a carer, as well as time shadowing an existing carer on their care calls. In addition to their initial assessments, we also hold regular refresher sessions and advanced training for those who have an interest in a specific area of care and would like to develop their knowledge and skills further. At Ella's Homecare, our support workers are highly qualified and we follow the CQC training standards. All of our support workers complete the mandatory courses and continue to develop their training each year.
  • Can I arrange my own Home carer?
    Yes, the first is arranging a free care assessment with our qualified nurse/assessor. We employ our carers directly, taking all of the stress and hassle out of arranging pay, working agreements or finding a replacement carer if you need to take sick leave. We also provide (During the first week of assessment, one of our allocated supervisors will remain on the property with the client to better understand the needs of the customer, to ensure we generate a person-centred care plan, which allows us to better understand the needs of the client allocate the right carers for your right needs")
  • What does a live in carer do?
    A live-in carer will move in to your property and is on hand 24 hours a day to meet all of your care needs around the clock. They can help with personal care, medication, household tasks and complex care. But their role is not restricted to this only.
  • Do carers need their own room?
    Yes, a Live-in carer does require their own bedroom. They require a minimum of a single bed and a door that is fully closed to ensure their privacy. A carer must have a place of their own to relax and sleep when they are not working.
  • Can I have a male/female carer?
    Of course, you can have a male/female carer if you would prefer. Taking into consideration your dignity, any personal elements of care and the sort of person you would like take priority. We will find you a compatible carer who is your preferred gender.
  • what are carers working regulations?
    Carers have monthly rotation 2 weeks on 2 weeks of or 1 month on and 1 month off. carers can also opt to do 3-6month and then have 4 weeks off. This all is based on the carers prefernce.
  • Can I have a carer that speaks my home language
    Yes, we have carers that speak several langauges. some of the languages include : Afrikaans Arabic Bengali Bosnian Greek Spanish Gujarati Hungarian Italian Ganda Nepali Polish Albanian Tagalog Turkish
